I called the Chapel-en-le-Frith office of Sutherland Reay expecting basic professionalism, instead, I was met with one of the most dismissive and arrogant interactions I’ve ever had with a so-called “customer-facing” business. The man who answered (a South African gentleman) made it blatantly clear he had no time for me. His tone was cold, impatient, and frankly insulting. He seemed more interested in ending the call than offering even the most basic level of help. This is not just bad service, it’s appallingly bad. If this is how they treat people making enquiries, I dread to think how poorly they treat clients once they’ve secured your money. There was zero courtesy, zero effort, and zero professionalism on display. Sutherland Reay clearly has no interest in building relationships or earning trust, all they are interested in is just moving on to the next transaction. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. There are far better agents in the area who will treat you like a person, not a problem. Avoid Sutherland Reay in Chapel-en-le-Frith — they are a liability, not a service.

Jayne was absolutely superb at keeping us informed during what was quite a protracted sale. We decided to go with Sutherland and Reay after recommendations from friends but also when we looked at their adverts they seemed to have a more professional and proactive approach to the selling of houses in the area.

It's clear how excellent they are with the amount of for sale signs that are theirs in the area!
