We would like to say how happy we have been with the service we have received from the staff at Hannells Chaddesden. From the initial conversation , to the valuation, advertising our property, arranging viewings to the sale of our property. On the market 10 days, 9 viewings and 4 offers !! We couldn't of asked for anything better. Many thanks to Michelle, Nicola, Lorna and everyone else who had a conversation with us.

Lorna and the team did a fantastic job keeping us informed by email and phone regarding viewings and comments about the property. This was especially helpful as I donât live near the property being sold. I would definitely recommend the service we have had from Hannells

Hannells have been fantastic during our sales process. They are always at the end of the phone and dedicated to ensuring we get the best value for our house while ensuring to help us manage the pressures of a house sale. Fully recommend them and in particular the Chaddesden branch with whom we worked directly.

My mind is truly boggled by all the glowing reviews Hannells Chaddesden has received on Google as my own experience was far from it.
My review is based on my own personal opinion and experience, I'm confident that Hannells will post a response somehow defending their service but my hope is if at least one person reads this and second guesses using Hannells for their needs then this will be worth it.
My Brother and myself found ourselves in the position of having to sell our recently passed Mum's house and chose Hannells due to reputation and proximity. Neither my brother or myself live in the UK at this point so we hoped we would find someone who would help us through a traumatic time and understand that our situation was unique.
From the beginning it seemed normal and a relatively good start ( I personally thought the photo's they took of the house were a low standard ), the house did sell fairly quickly and thats when the problems began.
The biggest issue we found with Hannells is communication, they're terrible at it. All I asked from the very beginning is that due to time differences ( I live in the US ) and geography that any communications from Hannells would include both myself and my brother.
I very quickly found that to not be the case and was relying on pushing to get quick answers to questions that I had and not have to bug my brother constantly, even after specifically asking to ensure i was on all Communications by email , they constantly dropped the ball to the point where I called the Branch Manager ( From the USA to the UK which was inconvenient ) Michelle and just asked for consistent communication, and was told " we can't promise that" !!
It's EMAIL !!! I'm not asking to re-write legislation. I'm asking that if there is anything pertaining to the sale of our house that the employee sending the email make sure to include both parties on the email, she told me they would "Try their best" but couldn't guarantee !! Also I quickly find that they screen their calls and it's very hard to get hold of someone if you want a quick answer. You generally speaking have to leave a message and hope you get a quick call back.
There were many other issues mostly coming down to communication that could have been handled much better, Google only allow me so much space to write so if anyone wants a detailed account of how Hannells failed to handle this transaction professionally and efficiently they're welcome to contact me directly through here.
This would be a one star review, but the house ultimately did sell, albeit with many last minute wrinkles that partly could have been handled better by Hannells and some that admittedly were out of their control. In fact my Brother happened to be home when the buyer came to see the house so really Hannells can't get credit for the sale, my brother was the one who "Sold the house"
If I can sum it up. If you live local and are able to actually go to the office you'll probably be fine. If you have any situation that's considered " out of the ordinary / unique " such as our situation....maybe investigate a different company and possibly get your expectations out there ahead of time and ensure they're met.

Great experience selling our home with Hannells - the valuation advice was bang-on, photos looked great, and I'm pretty sure Sara knew more about the chain than all of the solicitors put together. We were kept up to date throughout and the sale progressed in good time despite some difficulties elsewhere in the chain. Thankyou all for your help

Sara and Sarah were very helpful during our property purchase. We experienced a few delays on our side at conveyancing, but Sara was able to keep the sellers updated and re assure them of our position. Thanks team, keep up the good work!

The waiting on a house sale is extremely long and frustrating. But Olivia from Hannells Mickleover made the whole process a lot less painful. She constantly kept in contact and chased any part of the chain that was causing delays. When there were problems Olivia was extremely helpful and would explain in great detail and answer all questions we had.
I would strongly recommend Olivia and the rest of the Hannells Mickleover crew!

Poor service when selling with Mickleover Hannells. They were only interested in a quick sale. They recommended accepting offers well under their valuation price within the first week of going on the market. Shortly before exchange/completion, Hannells suggested agreeing to the buyers last minute request of reducing the price a further 5%. This was an outrageous unacceptable suggestion. Hannells do not work work in the best interest of clients.

We moved house at the beginning of November, we cannot speak to highly of the staff they were superb from beginning to end, from Heather who priced and put our house on the market,and also met and showed us round numerous properties. Eliza who kept us informed at on a regular basis, and calmed my nerves when things got tricky. Also Debbie who finished off the sale for us . We recommend them to anyone embarking on selling their property .

A really excellent Estate Agent. Staff are all very helpful. Eliza was brilliant throughout. If I was using an agent again, I wouldnât hesitate to use them. Definitely a cut above the rest in terms of pro-activity and professionalism.

My time with Hannells Estate Agents has been quite frustrating and disappointing. Throughout the span of three years I viewed properties with them. Their assistance in finding a suitable home was minimal at best. It became apparent that they show preference towards clients neglecting others. Their lack of dedication and support made me feel neglected and insignificant. Ultimately I had to seek help, from another estate agent who was more committed and responsive leading to a home purchase. Hannells have proven to be unreliable and selective in their service, and I would strongly advise others to steer clear of them.

After seeing the comments previous im shocked. The team at hannells have been nothing but polite kind and extremley helpful to me with buying a house solo. They have been more then happy to help eliza and amy especially with my never ending enquiries and can thank them enough for doing what the have for me. Id recommend all day long

The viewing and follow-up process with this estate agent is highly unethical. As a landlord, I would never work with a company that treats prospective tenants the way they do. It's concerning to see multiple reviews with similar negative comments, indicating a pattern of poor practices.
